Hamentaschen


The opportunity to continue tradition by using my great grandmother's rolling pin and making apricot hamentaschen today was a wonderful experience. I felt childhood memories singing songs in Hebrew from decades ago. Thanks Ron for coming all the way down to San Jose from San Carlos to pick up your treats! I love having a chance to fulfill individual cravings and make items not on dessert portfolio.

The hamentashen were delicious. They were moist and flaky and so flavorful that I actually ate slower, to better appreciate the experience. As I was eating it occurred to me that maybe there should be a rule that if you couldn't make them this good, you shouldn't be allowed to make them at all.
